How Our Delivery Works

We want customers to know how an order will be fulfilled before committing to a purchase. Delivery estimates and any product-specific information are shown on the relevant product page.

1. Placing your order

After checkout, you will receive an order confirmation at the email address provided. Please check the product, quantity and delivery address and contact us promptly if anything is incorrect.

2. Processing and fulfilment

Orders are prepared either from stock allocated to Smiddy Furniture or by an established fulfilment partner. Some products are dispatched directly by the supplier. Processing and delivery estimates vary by product, so the estimate on the product page should be used.

3. Delivery service

Depending on the item, delivery may be by parcel courier, specialist furniture courier or pallet service. Larger items may be delivered kerbside, and the courier may contact you to arrange delivery. Please ensure there is suitable access for the product ordered.

4. Delivery area

Free UK mainland delivery applies to mainland England, Scotland and Wales, including mainland Scottish Highland postcodes. Northern Ireland and offshore islands are outside our standard free-delivery area and may be unavailable or require a separately quoted charge. If you are unsure whether your address is covered, please contact us before placing an order.

5. Separate deliveries

Items in the same order may arrive separately when they are dispatched from different locations or require different delivery services. We will provide separate dispatch or tracking information where available. You will not be charged additional delivery fees simply because an order to a UK mainland address is split into more than one shipment.

6. When your order arrives

Please inspect the packaging and item as soon as reasonably possible. If there is visible damage, contact us promptly—preferably within 24 hours—and retain the packaging while we investigate. This request helps us deal with courier damage quickly and does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
