2. Product information

We aim to provide clear, accurate product descriptions, prices, materials, dimensions and delivery information. Please check the individual product page before ordering and contact us if an important detail is unclear.

Screen settings can affect how colours appear. Natural materials can vary in grain, colour and texture. These variations do not remove your rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements.

Goods supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for a particular purpose where required by law, and as described.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in pounds sterling. The product page and checkout show the applicable price, tax information, delivery charges and any discounts. Please review the total and payment options before completing your purchase.

We may update prices and product information for future purchases. Website updates do not give us the right to change the agreed price or material terms of an existing order without your agreement, except where permitted by law.

4. Orders and availability

Please provide accurate contact, billing and delivery details and notify us promptly if they need correcting. Product availability can change, and we will contact you if an item you have ordered cannot be supplied or if we discover a material error affecting your order.

We will explain any proposed alternative, revised price or material change before proceeding and obtain your agreement. If we cannot supply your order and it is cancelled, we will refund any payment received for the cancelled goods. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

We may decline an order for a legitimate reason, such as suspected fraud or inability to deliver to the requested address. This does not create a general right to cancel an existing contract at our sole discretion.

5. Delivery and fulfilment

Free UK mainland delivery applies as explained in our Shipping Policy. Product delivery estimates and any confirmed delivery conditions are shown on the relevant product page.

Some products are dispatched directly by our manufacturing or distribution partners. Smiddy Furniture remains your retailer and is responsible for your order, customer service, returns and statutory consumer rights. Orders may arrive in separate deliveries.

Please check dimensions and access requirements before ordering larger items. Contact us if you need clarification about kerbside delivery or access arrangements.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds

For most goods bought online, you may notify us of cancellation within 14 days of receiving them and then have a further 14 days to return them. Exceptions may apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, as explained in our Returns & Refunds Policy.

That policy explains return costs, packaging, refund timing and how we handle faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods. Sale and clearance goods have the same statutory rights as full-price goods.

7. Our responsibility

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, in accordance with applicable law.

We do not exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted. We do not exclude your statutory rights relating to goods, delivery, cancellation or refunds.

8. Using our website

Please use this website lawfully. Do not attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious software, interfere with its operation, impersonate another person or submit unlawful content. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website or other users. This does not remove your rights concerning an existing order.

We aim to keep the website available, but maintenance or technical faults may interrupt access. Please contact us if this affects your order or prevents you from obtaining help.

9. Reviews and external links

Reviews should reflect your experience and respect the rights of others. We may moderate unlawful, abusive, fraudulent or irrelevant content. Customer reviews do not replace the verified specifications on product pages.

External websites have their own terms and privacy policies. Links to them do not transfer our responsibilities for products bought from Smiddy Furniture to a third party. Please contact Smiddy Furniture about any product purchased from us.

11. Changes and legal rights

If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply where lawful. Any ambiguity is interpreted in accordance with applicable consumer law.
